CATHERINE TOYIN SHOWEMIMO (DIRECTOR GENERAL SERVICES)
Catherine Toyin Showemimo is the Director of the General Services Department with over 32 years of experience as an Administrative Officer in the Federal Civil Service. She holds a BA and an MSc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.
She has attended several capacity-building training programs both locally and internationally. Under her leadership, the department initiated the installation of a prepaid meter in the Ministry to regulate electricity consumption and reduce costs. Additionally, she oversaw the installation of solar power energy in select offices to complement other power sources and minimize operational expenses.
About the Department
General Services Department was established by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation on the 11th March 2014 through circular HCSF/CMO/EM/243/17.

The Department’s mandate is to ensure a conducive and comfortable work environment, facilities, and equipment for the workforce towards achieving the ministry’s objectives.

The General Service Department consists of 104 Staff, out of which Admin, Executive, Store and Maintenance are 25 in number and the remaining 79 are Drivers in the Hqtrs and outstation.
