SALAMATU FAITH JIBANIYA (DIRECTOR PRESS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS)

Salamatu Faith Jibaniya is a seasoned public servant with extensive experience in information management, rural development, and economic empowerment initiatives. She currently serves as a Deputy Director at the Federal Ministry of Steel Development, a position she has held since September 2023.

Her academic journey began at the University of Maiduguri, where she earned her degree between 1984 and 1988. Following graduation, she completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Kano State Government House from 1988 to 1989.

Mrs. Jibaniya's career includes impactful roles across several national programs and government agencies:

• Family Economic Advancement Programme (FEAP): 1998–2000
• National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP): 2000–2015
• Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP): 2015–2021
• Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD): 2022–August 2023

Her first appointment in the Federal Civil Service was in 2002, when she joined the Federal Ministry of Information as a Senior Information Officer.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Jibaniya has pursued continuous professional development. Her training includes both national and international certifications:

• Certificate in Project Formulation, Feasibility Studies and Appraisal – UNDP, Zaria (1996)
• Certificate in Effective Communication Skills – ASCON, Badagry (2007)
• Certificate in Agricultural Development for African Countries – KOICA, South Korea (2014)
• Certificate in Global Moringa Meet – Centre for Jatropha Promotion and Biodiesel, India (2012)
• Certificate in Effective Communication and Speech Writing – World Bank, Cape Town, South Africa (2018)
• Certificate in Essentials of Impact Evaluation – International Institute for Local Development, Lagos (2019)
