MRS. IJEOMA IDIKA (DIRECTOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT)

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

Mrs. Ijeoma Idika is a seasoned Human Resource Management professional with a wealth of experience in public service administration. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of Port Harcourt and is a certified member of reputable institutions, including the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM) and the African Business School (ABS). With an outstanding track record spanning decades, she has contributed significantly to administrative reforms and workforce development within the public sector.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

She earned her B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Port Harcourt (1987–1991), preceded by the West African School Certificate from Aggrey Memorial Secondary School (1980–1986), and the First School Leaving Certificate from Aggrey Primary School, Arochukwu (1974–1980). Her professional certifications include:

  • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP), HRM Professionals and Certification Institute, Abuja (2024)

  • Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, Prosci, USA (2023)

  • SMART-P Advanced Training Programme, OHCSF (2022)

  • Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Code Master Consulting (2015)

  • Project Management (PMBOK), MSG Consulting Limited (2012)

 

RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS:

As the Director of Human Resource Management, Mrs. Idika has spearheaded key civil service transformation initiatives, including the digitalization of administrative processes and personnel development programs. Her dedication and excellence have earned her numerous recognitions such as:

  • Icon of Nation Building Award, by Northern Youth for Good Leadership and Governance (2025)

  • Most Digitalised Director, Ministry of Solid Minerals (2024)

  • Outstanding Contribution to Ministry Mandates, by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (2021)

  • Outstanding Service Award During COVID-19, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development (2021)

  • Presidential Civil Service Merit Award, presented by President Muhammadu Buhari (2016)

 

With her strong leadership and people-centered approach, Mrs. Idika remains a key figure in public service HR management, contributing toward institutional efficiency, youth empowerment, and administrative excellence.
